We were inspired to call this gathering Dreams of Awakening as
this time of year is our most sacred time for preparing for spring. It’s called
the Balsamic phase of the solar year in astrological terms, the end of the year
before March 21, the Spring equinox, which is the real new year!
So dreams of
awakening suggests the process of meditation, dreaming, and contemplation not
unlike the process of the seed encased in it’s shell. Here in the safely of a
dark womb like environment lies the seed that will eventually burst forth in the
spring from it’s time of germination. In this special time the seed requires
good soil, minerals and water to grow. And so this is the time we allow
ourselves to rest and go deep into our feelings to find what we need to give up,
release, surrender, whether they be beliefs, values, people or things, it’s the
true spring cleaning time of year, the time before spring.
These last days before March 21, we can most easily access our shadow side in
the light of self-contemplation. Releasing our victim issues in particular is
easier as this is the time when the sun is in the sign of Pisces. Pisces is
the astrological sign who’s function is self– sacrifice but sacrifice in the
form of giving up the ego and embracing unity consciousness, not sacrifice in
the form of becoming the victim and martyr. So reflecting on the little egos
need for protection as protection takes on a form of isolation that keeps you separate from community. In these dramatically changing times we are becoming more clear about our
need to gather together and get to know one another. We understand we are all
authorities in different areas and we need to access each other.
So, we are giving ourselves space, allowing in these last days to discover and
uncover whatever might be in the way of fully embracing our new cycle of
manifestation in the spring. It’s a reflective and explorative time looking
back over the past year, of extracting and assembling what was learned from the
last 11 months and planting any seeds for the new cycle to begin in Spring.
There is an emptiness and a hopefulness about planting our seeds, a cycle is
ending and we still have to wait to see the results of our new endeavors.
We are preparing for another cycle of manifestation.
But preparing by letting go of any issue, people, situations, ideas, that are
not on the same frequency as the one we want to manifest. Forgiveness and
compassion are the keywords during this time.
The emotional tendency is to feel more fragile and vulnerable as we are
cleansing out the old and preparing for the new. What helps us to navigate this
last step of our journey before spring is bath taking, mineral baths, saunas,
being near the ocean, energy medicine like essential oils, homeopathy, flower
essences, subtle body energy work, being out in nature specifically listening to
the sounds of nature.
This last phase of the year is stimulated by sound and hearing.
The vibration of sound takes you out of this matrix you’ve created, this cocoon
of unresolved emotions, and sets you free giving you the opportunity to redesign
a higher resonance, a higher frequency for your new creations to blossom.
This is also a wonderful time to gather with friends of like mind and instead of
processing our issues, keeping a focus on our highest ideals and goals and
guiding our thoughts and communication to support our greatest aspirations.
